The Center for Social Innovation at the University of Virginia (UVA) will be collaborating with the World Bank and George Washington University (GWU) to host a conference on “The Economics of Sustainable Development” on December 2nd, 2024.
Lambert has over 12 years of experience related to food security, agriculture and natural resource management. She works on Mercy Corps' Agriculture Systems team, and is Director of the USAID/BHA-funded SCALE Award. Kristin Lambert will speak on Food security and Climate Change.
Jonathan Walters is an energy economist focusing on climate change mitigation. He has provided energy and climate policy advice to more than 60 governments in the developing world and Europe, and has served as a Director at the World Bank. Now, at the beginning of the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference in Glasgow, he will share some key lessons learned and speculate about next steps for our worldwide climate response.
The Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI), the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF), the Center for Social Innovation at the University of Virginia and the Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS) are bringing together leading researchers to present their cutting edge empirical research on sanitation and development over the course of this two-day conference.
